Meet Haley Crabb
In the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas, surrounded by trees, streams, and open sky, artist Haley Crabb creates from her studio with a deep connection to the world around her. For Haley, nature isn’t just an influence, it’s part of the creative process.
She grew up in a family where creativity was encouraged. Her grandmother taught her to sew, and her father shared his love of music and guitar. Both shaped how she approaches art today. Over the years, she’s written songs, painted, and made all kinds of art, but it was her discovery of fiber art that truly changed her direction.

A Turning Point
Haley started Elemental Living Art in 2024 after losing her younger brother, who she describes as “the most creative person I’ve ever known.” Art became a way for her to heal and reconnect with herself.
By that fall, she had created her first tufted pieces and decided to share them with others. Her business grew from a personal project into a way to help people feel more grounded in their spaces. “I wanted to make things that bring peace and meaning into a home,” she says.

Artistic Style & Inspiration
Haley’s work is inspired by the natural world around her. She often uses colors like sage, deep green, cream, burnt orange, and brown. Each piece feels earthy, textural, and full of life.
“The patterns and colors in nature always guide me,” she explains. “I pay attention to the bark on trees, the way the water moves, or how light shifts throughout the day. I want my art to capture that same feeling.”

The Role of Place in Her Art
From her studio in the Ouachita Mountains, Haley lets the landscape influence everything she creates. Her pieces bring that sense of connection indoors, through natural fibers, layered textures, and tones that reflect the world outside her window.
Each rug, wall hanging, and textile she makes carries a reminder that art and nature have a way of working together. Her work encourages people to slow down and appreciate the simple details that make a space feel alive.

A Favorite Piece
One of Haley’s earliest tufted designs will always be special to her. It featured deep greens, creams, and burnt orange, colors that have become her signature. “That was the first time I felt like my art really reflected who I am,” she says. “It’s still one of my favorite pieces.”
That piece became the foundation for everything she’s created since, shaping the look and spirit of Elemental Living Art.
