For Heydi, design has always been about finding the perfect balance between creativity and function. With a natural gravitation toward the arts, she knew early on she wanted a career where she could bring beauty into everyday life. That passion led her to study interior design at FIT in New York, where she fell in love with the process of shaping spaces that are not only stylish but also livable.
Today, as the founder of Haven Hues Interiors, Heydi is known for creating serene, timeless spaces that invite comfort, connection, and personal expression.

Design Style
Heydi describes her style as serene, soft transitional elegance with a touch of color. She gravitates toward clean lines, layered textures, and natural materials, grounding her work in a calming, neutral foundation. But she also loves incorporating thoughtful pops of color, whether through art, textiles, or décor, that add vibrancy and personality without overwhelming a space.
Finding Inspiration
Inspiration for Heydi comes from the everyday moments of life, but travel has played an especially influential role in shaping her approach. Her time living in Spain encouraged her to embrace natural light, texture, and a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors. These elements translate into interiors that feel fresh, personal, and timeless.

A Favorite Project
One of Heydi’s most rewarding projects was designing a condo in Jersey City for clients moving into their very first home. The blank-slate nature of the space gave her the chance to thoughtfully design each room from scratch, incorporating new elements that reflected the couple’s lifestyle and personality. “Seeing it all come together and knowing I helped shape their very first home made it especially meaningful,” she shares.
The Role of Artwork
For Heydi, artwork is the finishing layer that brings a room to life. She approaches sourcing with the goal of reflecting her clients’ personalities and stories, often starting with the overall mood and palette of a space before finding pieces that complement it.
“Art adds depth, contrast, and a sense of individuality. It’s what makes a home feel truly personal,” she says.
