This winter, we're looking for a little GLIMMER!

Light sparkling across the water. A pale pink sky on a cold morning. Twinkling lights after dark. Snow reflecting the last bit of sun. Glass catching the light. Icy blues, lavender, cream, peach and tiny flashes of gold.

GLIMMER is inspired by winter at its most colorful, dreamy and luminous.

For Issue 03, we're looking for artwork, photography, interiors and fashion that explore light, reflection, color and the little details that shine brightest against the colder months.

Your work does not need to depict winter literally. It doesn't need to sparkle, either. Glimmer can be found in a reflection, a glowing window, a color, light moving across water or an artwork that just seems to glow.

If it feels like it belongs in this world, we want to see it!

We're considering:

• Original artwork
• Photography
• Interior & exterior spaces
• Textile & surface design
• Ceramics & dimensional work
• Styling & other visual work
• Clothing & fashion

Submit up to 3 images with one $10 entry.

Artists and creatives worldwide are welcome to submit. Previous publication experience is not required.

THE WORLD OF GLIMMER

We are invisoning:

Pastel skies, sparkling water, frosted landscapes, winter coastlines, moonlight, twinkling lights, reflective surfaces, glowing interiors, dreamy color, silver details, unexpected flashes of pink, blue, lavender and gold.

Our palette is filled with powder blue, icy aqua, blush pink, pale lavender, cream, peach, butter yellow and small accents of silver.

But this isn't a checklist!

Your work doesn't need to include every color or interpret the theme literally. We're looking for pieces that can live within the larger visual story we're creating.

BE PART OF ISSUE 03

The Green Room at 831 is an independent coastal art and lifestyle publication built around artists, designers and visual storytellers.

Here, artwork isn't used to decorate the magazine.

The artwork IS the magazine.

Each issue brings together art, interiors, photography, design and editorial storytelling to create a publication meant to be read, displayed and revisited.

Our first limited-edition print issue sold out, and we're continuing to grow a community of readers and creatives around each new release.

Your work will be considered for inclusion in GLIMMER: Winter Issue 03, with opportunities for:

• Inclusion in the limited-edition print issue

2. Open the submission form.

3. Tell us about your work.
Complete the form and upload up to five images for consideration.

4. Submit your entry.
Your entry isn't complete until the submission form has been received.

Every submission is individually reviewed as part of our editorial process.

 

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

For this issue, I really want to see how YOU interpret Glimmer.

The inspiration board gives you a pretty good idea of the colors and overall direction I'm drawn to, but don't feel like your work has to check every box. I'm not looking for everyone to submit the same pastel seascape or snowy landscape.

Use the theme as a starting point and show me what Glimmer looks like in your work.

If you have a piece that came to mind while reading through this page or looking at the inspiration board, send it in. I want to see it!
